Cold outbound: questions
How do you know a company runs cold outbound?
Cold e-mail is sent from lookalike domains, never from the main domain, and those domains redirect to the company's site. We read new domains from certificate-transparency logs, check their DNS for cold-email infrastructure (the tracking CNAME, SPF include or MX of a provider such as Instantly, Smartlead or Zapmail) and follow their redirect. A company is marked when at least one such domain points at it.
What does “scaling now” mean?
Three or more new sending domains first seen in the last 30 days. Teams add sending domains when they raise volume or hire SDRs, so it is the earliest public signal of an outbound push.
Does absence mean a company sends no cold e-mail?
No. We only mark companies whose sending domains we found. Teams sending from their main domain or through platforms without a DNS trace are not counted.
Can I get the list?
Yes: the filter is “outbound” in the product, with provider, mailbox platform, number of sending domains and first/last seen dates. The 20 most active companies are on this page.
