Ecommerce stores by country: questions
How do you count ecommerce stores?
A company is an ecommerce store when its own website is classified as a webshop with a confident industry and country. Marketplaces, portals, directories and non-organisations are left out.
How do you know the platform?
From the store's pages and DNS: the platform's scripts, assets, checkout and hosting fingerprints. A platform is detected on roughly two thirds of stores; headless and custom builds make up the rest, and each country page states its own detection share.
Is every EU country covered?
Yes: all 27 EU members plus the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia and every other country with 300 or more stores, 49 countries in all.
Can I get the list?
Yes: filter on webshops, the country, the platform and the segment in the product, and export with the decision makers and verified e-mails. Counting is free.
